Effective leadership practices in language immersion programs

چکیده
This article presents findings of a larger research project regarding effective leadership practices in language immersion programs. The purpose this study was to discover actions, knowledge, and skills that leaders successful programs exhibit. Using basic qualitative model, leaders, teachers, parents at three schools were interviewed. indicate the leader must establish positive culture through building trust, community with showing commitment program. In addition, provide program teacher support variety ways, including provision professional development, differentiated development for international resources, opportunities. Finally, possess specific knowledge lead program, advocacy skills, ability apply shared model. Immersion can learn from applications practice their respective settings.
